Frank Posillico

Frank Posillico came to Stony Brook because of the School of Journalism and what it offered. He knew from day one, in Dean Schneider’s News Literacy class, that this was the place for him. Frank is a senior journalism major and going to Cuba was his first time out of the country.

Frank is interested in print and multimedia journalism but feels comfortable in all areas. He is the editor-in-chief at the oldest campus publication, The Statesman and has interned at Newsday.com.

Along with his duties at The Statesman, Posillico is also the president of the campus chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, an SBU Blogger and has won the Martin Buskin Cub of the Year award for commitment to campus media and a New York Press Association award.
